Train to certify as a Trauma Informed Somatic Counsellor online. Our Self Study Track supports you to certify in as little as 6 months or as long as 3 years - study and journey at your own pace without pressure. When signing up to our Self Study Track you gain full access to our core curriculum - around 100 hours of digital content distributed across 11 modules, with module 12 providing the evaluation and certification process.
Over the course of a year this works out at around 6-10 hours of digital recorded content a month - or around just 2 hours a week - very manageable for most, even with a job, young children, or other responsibilities in the mix!
There is no requirement to produce essays along the way, although we do recommend you take notes to accompany the supporting PDFs provided within each module section so that you can refer back to key learning points at later dates. Instead of having to spend hours pouring over dry texts and written theory, modules are almost entirely video based and include live teaching content, making the learning process engaging and inspiring. You are also provided with a reading list that is important to work through over the course of the training. Many of these texts are also available as audiobooks which can be useful for those who find reading a challenge.
You will be encouraged to relate to the content in a personal manner to support a deeply transformative personal journey as well as professional outcome and formal certification - we believe that what can become professional excellence begins with personal embodiment. We note that each self study participant is responsible for themselves and that many some find it useful or necessary to engage support from a personal therapist throughout this self study process as some of the content may be triggering or challenging.
